Got home tonight after a good drive turne dthe car off and popped the hood to make sure everything was sound and noticed a feint bubbling sound comming from the back of the engine. Now the car has oil around the edge of the rocker cover and behind the engine but i cannot tell wether its recent or not.

Want some opinions before I start pulling the engine apart looking for the problem. Was thinking head gasket but im not sure.

gotta love some of the questions we get these days :)

Your engine may have a air pocket in the cooling system.

My car used to do this alot and i could not get rid of it. Then one day i bled the system again for about 20 minutes non stop and the issue went away.

You need to re-bleed the cooling system on the engine. if you are unsure how to do this then take the car to a mechanic and ask them to bleed the cooling system correctly. They should have a proper bleeding system to make sure ALL the air is out of your system.

You should fix this asap because parts of the head could be overheating without your temp gauge telling you.

Its not your head gasket or anything else for that matter, don't stress if you have found this issue quick enough the engine will be fine.
