TYRE FAIRY's ENGINE HOLDS TOGETHER TO TAKE OUT DYNO COMP

Recommended Posts

I was wandering around after bolting the car up and could see Paul pacing back and forth nervously as if he was awaiting some bad news from a doctor ;)

Thankfully Pausl 33 all held together.... in fact apart from a radiator hose, we didnt have a single problem all weekend with the cars.

Some cars were clearly running more boost than they should have been, when you can hear it detonating 30 feet away, its time to retune it :)

I asked if we can get Dyno Dynamics to run the shootout next year with their rage in a cage set up and it looks like it could happen. Hope so because then theirs no shop politics even tho i have a great deal of time for Ivan i still think independent operators should run big show shootouts in a locked program.

This is why a never take up the offers to take my Dyno to shows.

I have a fancy pants Fluidampr harmonic balancer on order, the 2.5 engine uses the OEM 2.0 balancer off the old motor as the 2.5 balancer is a larger unit and doesn't fit clearance wise, which, because the two engines have different harmonics, isn't optimal, the OEM balancer does the job, but as the gear driven balancer in the bottom end is removed to fit a RWD application there is slightly more vibration, the Fluidampr helps with the harmonics that the gear driven balancer once took care of,  basically makes life easier on the oil pump and bearings when thrashing it around Hopefully the weather gets better soon because I'm keen for some cruising around, and currently, with the winds and storms we are getting, the amount of detritus being blown around from trees on the road isn't something I want to be driving around in
