Boost Controller

I've got a R33 GTST running a stock turbo. I was wondering if there is any value in buying an electronic boost controller or a two stage controller and just follow the sticky elsewhere on this site and just ground out the neutral and run it on high [stock] boost all the time.

Depends how much you want to spend, $300 can get you a proper EBC; Gizzmo MS-IBC (soemtimes theyre $250), I run one with my 32 GTR and pretty happy with having 6 boost memories.

since you're running the stock turbo, why not just get a Turbotech boost controller for $30

Yeah go manual if u got a stock turbo, they do the same thing as an ebc, just a bit more hassle to get what you want.

Wouldnt it depend on how much boost you want to run?

Cant go much over 12psi on the turbo safely, and then the ECU runs out of happiness too.

So if your looking at less than that, R32 actuator is key! Cheap and hassle free.

get either a r32 actuator or a cheap turbotech controller. much cheaper than an electronic boost controller (so you can put the extra few hundred dollars towards other mods), and work just as well and easier to set up.
