hey all. i picked up a set of coilovers for the stag today, and on top of the hat theres a washer and bolt that goes onto the rod that goes inside the shock, under this washer there should be a rubber stoper peice that stops it clunking when it rebounds. (it pulles the rod back out with it) the way it is now it may chew the support. would i be ok to put some rubber washer things in or what??

there teins btw.

haha they better be staying low :D

nah, nah, i mean spring compressors for your standard struts if you decide to swap hats

There should be a fat rubber washer either side of the top hat. Which is toped off with a dome washer and nut to compress the washers into the top hat. You could use the washers off your old shocks. Ive done this before. If the top nut goes all the way down the strut shaft then it means you dont have enough packing around the top hats. I have put a few old ones in either side before just to make the rubbers more firm. Otherwise strut will move inside of top hat

thanx guys. i worked out today that the top hats on there are actualy stock lol... so ill just salvage a few bits of mine when they come out... gna b go good to actualy have suspension that works! 4 those who dont know... mine it well past its use by date!
