why not two mascots. instead of a big mexican hat a super tiny one with elastic band that you wear. kinda like those circus bears with the party hat riding a bike. at the same time you must hold a small plastic cactus plant in your left hand. LEFT hand only otherwise it doesn't count.

or a big ass novelty stovetop sunnies, like the ones you get at carni's. having a mexican moustache attached to the sunnies is a bonus.

what about a gay ass SAU pose that you have to do.

or all of the above and a strip of bacon.
