Hi fellas,

I am planning on purchasing my 740cc injectors from the US, they seem to be about $300 cheaper than anywhere else.

My question was, there is a person on eBay selling HKS injectors 740cc, but he also has in the title Nismo.

Are these injectors made by the same manufacturers?

Many thanks.

got any pics? are they red in colour ? can you see Denso written on it ?

The picture is way too small to see.

You reckon you could please have a look and tell me what they are:

Also, do the HKS have the same 4 hole spray pattern as the Nismo injetors?

Cheers

Dude i've said before - go easy on the bumping. You dont need to bump a thread after 4hrs because you dont have an answer.

Be patient!

In other news, just because they are made @ the same place does not mean they are made to the same specs.

I would imagine various brands to have varying setups/configurations.

As for the US being cheaper, you do realise that its in USD dont you? So $900 USD is actually at least $1100. Which is no cheaper than the other prices/places ive told you too look on previous occasions.

as Gt said, they would be generic injectors from jecs or denso or some other OEM manufacturer

nismo wont make them, apexi wont make them, and so on

they just market them as their own, brand it and bump the price up

Sorry fella, have trouble with patience.......

Yeah I do realise that, but seller said he could do it for $790 USD + $50 postage, which comes to about $1,050 AUD, which is more than $300 cheaper than Sliding Performance, and about $120 cheaper than nengun.

ANyone got 740cc HKS injectors?

Maybe I should just stick with the nismo... so annoying.....

Stand back a sec...

How much have you spend on your entire build?

Does the $100 really matter now? :)

Yes, it means I won't be able to eat for 3 days....

But yeah, you're right.... They are just so much!! Slide used to sell them for $879, not $1,379!!! Far out, the economy didn't turn around that much...

they are just injectors? what are you so worried about ?

I am worried about:

1) Spray pattern,

2) Latency

3) Ohms

4) Whether they will be able to run on a VIPEC V44.

I know the nismo ones work fine, as GT is running them, but I am not sure about the others.... i.e. HKS, SARD etc..

buy them. they will be fine. they are the same injector as the Nismo's !!!

with the V44 you have to run high imp injectors. if you want to run low you can but you need to convert the system over which is not needed for these injectors because they are high imp injectors for RB25DET.

just ask the guy who is selling them if they are a 4 hole injector, if they are then the spray pattern will be good. also double check that they are high imp.

also double check with him that they are not high flowed standard injectors and they are the HKS branded ones.

if all this checks out okay then just buy them and stop wasting time

um actually it did.... do your math yen was 97-101 then dropped to 55..... nearly half..... and guessing he is sitting on stock he bought around that price a month or two ago he would be fair to ask for nearly double..... simple maths.

nismo or hks same thing from the denso factory, the sard, powerenterprise and blitz etc are a little diff but still from denso. In your setup VIPEC/ LINK you would not tell between any of them as they are all high impedance.

Quick tip: JZA80 injectors fit fine and there are a million places selling them cheap in the usa if you really want to save a few $$$$ (i cbf'd with time factor though)

    • How much have you lowered?  I had 350Z springs in the rear and was able to pull the camber into factory spec with the factory arms on the rear, obviously the front ran negative camber as it isn't adjustable, but rotating the wheels regularly evened out the wear.
    • Either the installer needs to come back, you need an auto electrician, or you need to learn automotive electricals yourself.   First step Id look at is where that big thing came out of, is there still things unplugged at that location? Maybe they just forgot to put a relay in or something?
    • Well, this is probably where a wiring diagram and a multimeter come into play.
    • I can say to anyone thats doing this; having done a number of R clusters; just be careful if its an unknown cluster.  It takes a bit of force to pull up; but if it feels excessive then its probably stuck. I've had this and pulled the entire hair spring out; and I can tell you; its not easy getting the correct spring replacement with the correct inner diameter and winding. In my case someone had used some sort of adhesive to stick it to the spindle and it pulled the whole spindle out; which the force seperated the hairspring from the spindal and caused it to deform.  You may have to clean it (IPA); or in my case if i'd known i should have used some sort of solvent on it.  Also check out Cruizin Central on eBay. He does all sorts of dials; and you can email him with any custom designs you want. So if you want like certain logos etc...he'll send you a mock of what it will look like then you accept the order and he'll take care of the rest. Fantastic dials and he can do basically any design you want.
    • Have you confirmed its the actual axles? Also the wheel bearings that mount on the hubs to hold the axles wear out. I replaced mine as they got play in them. It sorted my play issue.
