Dash Backlights and dimmers not working

Hi all,

Was trying to install gauges and accidentally crossed earth and headlights on 12v wires. :Oops: :bonk:

Anyways the guage backlights stopped working on all 4 guages, instrument cluster backlights don't work no more and the dimmer on the clock and air-con lights don't work anymore. THe headligts still work and the interior roof light still works. Had a look at fuse box but don't know how to tell what fuse is blown (if any) and which one should i be looking at? Is there anything else that could have blown? A fuse anywhere else perhaps? :whatsthat

Your tailights aren't working either

Fusebox in boot.. 3rd one up i think fromt he bottom, says "tail-lights". Replace that one and you'll be right. The taillights and dash lights are on the same circuit (why i don't know)

I have blown that fuse a couple of times. One time a nice policeman told me that in fact after deciding to pull me over.
