Hah!

The good old HICAS Thread, I remember one time there were a few of them going at one time.

As you know the HICAS System is to control the rear wheels to turn 1 degree in the opposite direction as you are steering to help you in cornering and some say parking as well.

- Check the Powersteering reservoir to make sure it's full.

- Check the ATTESA-ETS reservoir in the boot to make sure it's full (Ppl on SAU will say it will have nothing to do with it but I topped mine up helped me out and the HICAS light switched off).

- Get a Wheel Alignment done.

(If this does not fix it)

- Get your mechanic to clean out your Steering Wheel Sensor.

(If this does not fix it)

- Get your mechanic to plug in the Diagnostics Computer to check the reading of the Steering Wheel Sensor.

It may not be dead centre and your Tyre rods my need adjusting then realigned the wheels to get everything back to dead centre.

- By this stage the Diagnostics Computer will run a check through every sensor it picks up and your mechanic will have to trace the fault to see where it is.

See how you go.
