yer the ones on parra rd. They seemed to be well informed and pretty straight forward but after that incident regarding the supra im having doubts.

visiting their warehouse was the clincher for me,I was turned off for a couple of reasons I think we spent about 10mins there and left.

Not saying all their cars would be duds, but shop wisely and don't fall in love if you do see something that interests you there.

ohh i see whats goin on.. all imports and japlink are separate dealers.. all imports simply moved from their dodgy warehouse to either renting or possibly bought the space right next to japlink that used to be owned by japlink.. i remember when i looked at my car there at japlink i walked into all imports and the guy came up to me and was like can i help you, i said i already talked to your other guys (at japlink) and he said they were separate dealers... far as i know japlink does all their compliance work as well as some of edward lees..

i will add however that my dad bought his 4dr V from all imports and everyone is impressed with not only the car but the condition..

what was it that turned you off?

Someone else told me to just go look myself as they wouldn't offer an opinion.

So I went and looked at a car I was interested in, the car itself I was over it after one lap of it, and there was a lot more interesting stuff going on elsewhere in the place, a chat here or there and the confirmation in another threads thats where the Supra came from and reading on evolutionoz, I was out of the place didn't want to take the risk given their history. If you want specifics just pm me.

yer the skyline ive been eyeing at their dealership looks straight n clean but due to their history im having doubts.

I also asked for the auction sheet or any documentation from japan and their like the car was bought from a dealer in japan so theres nothing like that.

He seems confident about the condition of the car thoough saying if u want someone to inspect it i can get someone n it will be done at his warehouse, but to me its all dealer talk.

I like the car as its got the full leather seats n brembos but is it a risk worth taking is something i gotta ask myself.

be sure to check all the fine print on the extended warranty. Many warranties on the market only cover a set amount, ie only $1000 for the engine, $500 for electrics. And they require you to get the serviced by a shop every 3 months. And if you need to make a claim, they make you take it one of their authorised repairers and they charge you for a quote on the repair. Then if the agent confirms the item is faulty they send the paperwork to the warranty company. Then you gotta wait for them to approve it.

Why don't you import yourself from an auction?

then you will have auctions sheet, hopefully Log book and spare keys!!!

all you have to do is convert Fm

I bought a V35 off Allimports/Japlink last week, allowed me to have any tests I wanted done to the car, were more than helpful. The car is as you would expect for a 5 year old car from Japan, has some marks /small repairs but overall very good condition.

Cheers

    • Back in January, I noticed my car felt noticeably weak. I had the injectors cleaned, which seemed to solve the problem -- until now. Recently, the car suddenly lost power again while driving. Suspecting the injectors, I brought it to the mechanic. He recommended replacing them entirely, saying the current ones were getting unreliable and fiddly to work with. I could not find a direct replacement for my current injectors. The closest match I found were 440cc injectors. This led me to look into the possibility of upgrading -- and of course, that would mean remapping the ECU. From my research I found: The OEM Part numbers are 16600-72L20 and 16600-72L21 Both the RB20DE and RB20DET use the same 270cc injectors. There are much better options out there over the old OEM injectors. Nistune could be a viable tuning option. While the RB20DE isn’t explicitly listed on their site, the ECU is essentially the same as the GTS-T version - just with a different map. The ECU code on mine is listed as supported. One concern is finding a tuner who works with Nistune. Aftermarket ECU like Haltech and Link, but this would be the most expensive choice (and possibly overkill for a mostly stock RB20DE) I admit that I am very new to the tuning scene and would appreciate any insight or recommendations regarding this.   These are some SAU links where I got some of my information from for reference: https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/380324-rb20de-injectors/ https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/477396-factory-270cc-injectors/
    • The inspectors are not forensic by any means but if you forge your documents and/or badgings on vehicle parts and are found out, the consequences are just far bigger than if you just run illegal parts. And their job quite literally is to cross reference what parts you got installed and what your papers say you got. Something as silly as your suspension being 1mm too low will fail you. Nonetheless I asked if someone knew the damn pipe and I certainly did not ask for smartassery or underhanded comments, no idea why you need to be told this. Great way to waste both our time.
    • As useful as you explaining what forgery is... But then again, I wasn't aware your inspectors were also forensic experts and inspect nameplates on each component to confirm everything is original. They must inspect roughly 3 cars a year at that rate. You're right though, my comment doesn't help you in anyway, so I'll go talk to my wall now. Cheers.
    • Say that to the guy that is going to fail your inspection or tow your car for illegal exhaust modifications. If you have anything else useful to say, please go tell your wall.
