I got a brand new Cooling Pro Stealth intercooler for my Series II R33.

I want to paint it black to make it even more stealth. I will all so be fitting it myself.

I read somewhere that you should sand the intercooler down before applying the paint. Anyone know anything about this? I know with painting most things it's best to sand it down so the paint sticks better. But I am a bit worried about doing it to a brand new intercooler.

And also does anyone have a picture of them having this kit fitted? I need a picture of where the pipes join up to. Did anyone come across any problems when fitting this kit, like modifications they needed to make?

Thanks.

regardless of brand, if you want the paint to stick, you need to clean and scuff the surface - then depending on what you paint it with. it may need an etch primer or not.

do a search- painting coolers have been discussed for years.
