hi everyone.

I did a search on clutch failure etc. Didn't find specificaly wat I was after.

A mate of mine has a r33 gtst manual s2. Just like mine :P he's been working alot and can't be bothered checking SAU out. Who knows why.

Basically his car Changes between gears fine etc. But when in say 3rd/4th at normal revs (say 2200) when u give it a bit of gas, at about 3500 -4000 the revs start to go up fast without any feel of the car really going anywhere. I told him it feels like someone is just lightly pressing the clutch while he's accelerating.

In fact that's what I first sed. "why r u clutching while ur accelerating man?!"

Any advice would be good. Is this a sign of a failing clutch? Etc?

Please let me know if u need ne more info so u can gain a better idea of the situation. I'll ask him as we go.

Thanx HEAPS in advance. Poor guy is stressing bad.

Cheers. Tys

Damn I'll let him no. Got me paranoid now. Mine does it ever so slightly.

Lol. Anyone do deals on 2 new clutches?

What's a good replacement? Do we bother with twin plate etc etc?

Stick to a heavy duty single unless you are making some decent power.

(Excedy clutches are pretty good imo.)

I got 160ish rwkw. Only lightly modded. This ok?

What about composition. Like organic. Or ceramic I heard aren't so good. Maybe I'm wrong. Etc etc

Cheers
