carmate stuff i had a front bar didnt line up under drivers headlight, rear bar didnt fit correctly on the rear with gaps...lot of work but as said above with spoiler on two spots really need to line up for fitment so not much chance of problems compared to bars and skirts...pricing they are good quality just luck of the draw

my old r34 had a carmate spoiler on it, get the low mount one, it does get in the way of rear vision but it's not too bad

I've seen the high mount one on a GT-t and it was ridiculously high, funny looking

it did the job and the bolt holes lined up so I'm happy, that's as far as i'd go to putting fibreglass on my car personally, not a fan of fibreglass bodykits

Does the CarMate version have an adjustable rear fin?

I agree with getting the low-mount one only.

Since CarMate sell F/G, run your hand over it to check that there are no ripples. If it's smoooooooth, and once it's painted, no-one will know the difference if it's F/G or Plastic. Rear fin could have a C/F look to it (or bronze).

alright cheers guys, thanks for the pics

it looks like it'd turn out pretty good once fitted and sprayed, was worried about how the final product looked, but that looks fine

im currently using the stock gt wing, and even that gets in the way of the rear view mirror a bit, but not really a problem for me, but i'd definitely get the low one, it looks like a good height from the pictures too.

yeah i was wondering about that too, the carbon fibre look is great, looks like its meant to be

you can buy carbon fibre wrapping paper, but i doubt that was how it was done, it looks wayy too good for that

How sturdy is this thing ? Not sure it'd be so great if instead of creating downforce it ripped off and flew away into someone's windshield at high speed...

haha yeah i guess that is another thing to consider, it really cant be that bad though can it?

carmate is a pretty big site too, im sure they wouldnt sell stuff that is likely to fly off while driving .. or would they :|

R34P3R the pictures up on the first post of the pics go from low to highest. unfortunately they only show the high spoiler actually installed on the car. I prefer a low-medium spoiler personally, not really into ones that go too high.

to answer a few extra questions posed...

rear fin came c/f not real carbon but fibreglass with c/f top, kind of like how some c/f bonnets come.

wing was not adjustable, but at least it looked like it could lol

wing is sturdy, I live in western sydney so pot holes are a way of life, and I'm a lead foot too, it held up very well

that being said I am very iffy of carmates quality, as I said before that's as far as i'd go to putting fibreglass on my car

the wing was sturdy though so I was happy with it, you could place a bit of force with your hand in the middle of the wing and it wouldn't bend

I had it painted from a friend and fitted the wing myself, make sure you have some silicon or double sided tape to place around the bolt holes on the boot so no water leaks in

the only one that looks good is the low mount imo
