R33 S2 Console Compartment

hey guys, i have a 33 s2 and sick of the lack of space within the compartment at the end of the console (the place you keep sunnies and shit). a S1 has about 15cm space when i only have 4-5 cm. there is no reason for this i think as there is nothing under it. i was looking at my cuzs S1 and realised it is mounted differently to mine. any ideas??? thanks
