planning on an upgrade atm so just seeing interest for the highflow.

so its a R34 turbo that has had the GCG treatment. turbo has done 19000kms and have not had a single problem with it. no shaft play (always checked when serviced by RE customs). turbo is running 15psi all day everyday (No boost controller fitted) and with 470cc injectors the car has pulled between 236-242rwkw.

id be looking at $1200 for the turbo itself. for R34 owners can do a package with the turbo, injectors and 3"dump pipe for around $2300.

this is just an EOI atm and your more then welcome to throw me an offer. but if someone offers me exactly what im after or maybe more and has the cash ready ill be happy to make the deal.

dont have any pics of it as like i said its still in the car and it looks like a stock nissan turbo which is great for when the boys in blue pull you over.

im interested. what is the max 'safe' boost its capable of? what rev does it hit 15psi? what injectors and how many cc's? how old are the injectors? sorry about the 21 questions. looking for a turbo upgrade =)

GCG is a company in sydney that highflows the standered turbo hence the GCG treatment. they rebuild the turbo with stronger internal parts to hold more boost then standered. the turbo is ball bearing, slot straight back in with no lines to make up and boost hard from low revs.

if you search GCG on the forums there is alot of info about this.

I'm sure it's BB because it's just the stock turbo highflowed by GCG .. they're the #1 turbo company in OZ for new turbos and highflows so you can be sure you're getting a great turbo here. I've inquired with GCG and they charge close to $2k to highflow your stock turbo so this is a great price for anyone looking for a decent upgrade without the need to upgrade your stock AFM, Injectors or clutch ...

thanks guys

john26 ill see if i can find a receipt but chances are slim to none. i should really start keeping em lol

turbo is in the car atm for those who wants to see, and experience the awesomeness of highflow at its best :D

I have the same turbo on a rb25det. I rang GCG and they said it can easily take 20psi and when i did some research a while back found they can make around 270kw with that boost and supporting mods but im yet to get mine tuned. Looks stock and almost as responsive as stock turbo which is pretty good considering the gain in power and torque..

Good luck mate, should sell very quick

thanks mate.

ye i have mine tuend at 15psi and get full boost at 3000rpm and pulls hard all the way to red line. really didnt want to even think about selling this but want to push more power out so this will need to be replaced.

What sort of power figure are you aiming at mate?

I am looking at making at least 250-300 in my RB25, i had a quote from MTQ a place in Adelaide and they were a lot cheaper then 2K plus they were going to be rebuilding it with Garret 3071R internals...one thing i dont need is lag....prefer the stock turbo response or better

be looking at 280-300rwkw. highflow will run out of puff at that power figure so going with HKS 2835Pros. already have the ssupporting mods just need the turbo and bigger injectors and a tune :)

Mate you wont find a turbo that can make that power with better than stock response but this turbos the closest u will get to that power if you want near stock response. If you want 300 then obviously it will come at a cost of more lag.

    • I'm running a Haltech Platinum Pro with the stock map for the RB20DET + tweaks for my build. When I started it this morning, the IAT was at 32F/0C (Outside temp was ~42F) and the AFRs went off the scale for my AEM gauge. I let it run for ~30 seconds then turned it off. I then did a smoke test, by hooking into a vacuum line directly behind the throttle body, and confirmed there was no leaks ( i let the smoke tester run for ~5 minutes / confirmed it was generating smoke before hand ). I then started the car again, after fixing a power steering leak.... and it seemed to be happy for ~30 seconds (was at ~11/12), but then seemingly shot back up to ~18 again. I then let the car run for a few minutes, thinking this was just cold start related, but the AFRs never came back down. I didn't let the car fully warm up, so maybe this makes sense, but I'm not sure what to do? The AFRs, when I last ran it, were normal, but because of personal reasons I haven't been able to break in the car. It was rebuilt last year.
