hey, im very interesred in these mats, i got linked here from supraforums.com.au

ive got a few questions...

Is it possible to get the heel pad in a different colour (in all the pictures its grey, can u get it in the same colour as the mat?)

Also, the supra logo varies from years the early supra has supra written in fairly normal font, and the newer supra is written in scribble

i hav the earlier model supra, so i dont really want to hav the newer logo on the mats

sorri if its a bit confusing

cheers, steve

Steve-the hellpad (well the ones i got currently) have a black heelpad and im sure all the other guys in previous groupbuys got the same otherwise i would have heard about it. Im not sure but it good be the reflective nature of the material/plastic or whatever they use that makes it look grey in photos. What colour are you after? I think they can only do black but i can ask for you. As for the Supra logo ill ask aswell, i know that they can do the scribble JZA80 Supra writting, what model Supra have you got mate? Ill try and work it out for you :-)

On the website it doesn't show a difference between 4wd and rwd skyline mats. There is a difference in the nismo part numbers between the two as well. Is this the case that we have to specify the type, or is only one type available?

32. Gtr / gts4 mats seem to have a different shape of drivers side mat to accomodate the tunnel relief for the transfer case, from what I have been able to find out anyway. I have never had any mats to compare with.

kool, im happy with a black heelpad

ive gotta A70 supra (89model) so i would prefer the old sura logo, if that is possible

any chance of a nismo logo?

matcraft would be infringing IP and international copyright laws if they were to place a nismo logo on their mats, so not a very good idea.....

hungryGTR - Any further updates on the Stagea mats? I recommend you post E.O.I in the Stagea section if you need someone to offerup a set as a template.

Im sure there would be a few people interested in this. :P

Ok so i got an email from them today. The colour of the heelpad is matched to the colour of carpet you choose. So black, beige, grey etc.

Now for the Supra writing, there is a problem. They can do it in non scribble writing however they cant justify the amount of extra time that will be necessary for a once off so they are not keen. So unless you can muster up a few more A70 owners then they can only do the scribble Supra writing.

I shall ask them and get back to you mate

Also for the guy that asked about the rwd vs 4wd skyline question, they will get back to me on Monday as the guy that does all the mat patterns is on holidays at the moment.

As things stand now they cant do Stagea mats as they dont have their dimensions. If you or anyone have factory mats and are happy to send them to WA so they can take measurements and once finished with them they'll send them back then yes Stagea mats can be made available. Doesnt matter how bad condition of the stock mats are they just need to make templates for 100% perfect fitment.

Like i said mate im happy to do them but im only one person and i cant do all the work and branch out. If your happy to hunt down a set and get back to me about it then im happy to do the logistics with matcraft and order Stagea mats. If we work together (that goes for everyone) it can only benefit more and more people which is exactly why ive offered a lot of models and opened it up to any forums. Its up to you guys to spread the word if your on other forums or think a certain car club (like the Stageas) would be interested. Ive done a lot of logistics about option and price well before this groupbuy was launched, it was exactly 1 month of negotiations to get it all ready. Instead of me signing up to a million forums and monitoring their questions and orders ive set it up so that the link can be cut and pasted on any site and includes all detail, instructions and most importantly a direct link to get in touch with me.

I cant stress enough that the likelihood of me doing another order of all makes and models will be quite small so thats why im trying to get everyone in now as i know from past experience that once i close this in a few month there will be people asking for mats. What people need to do is like one guy thats on SAU that posted a link on SilviaWA that helps out others and spreads the word, thats what im after and at the end of the day other people not getting mats doesnt effect me, just those that miss out. So like linking SilviaWA, its gets the word out to people who might not come across this link as they might not browse SAU.

It's not infringing copyright...its a "tribute" to them..

A tribute to not paying $400~ for real nismo mats

Unfortunately Nismo and people who sell genuine Nismo gear like myself dont see it that way.

just a note regarding sizes ..R34 GTT and GTR driver mats DO differ quite significantly. I got the genuine Nismo set from performance-wise a while ago but they turned out to be for GTR (looks like the GTT were/are out of production) Anyway, there's a chunk missing in the bottom left corner about 5cmx10cm...because the GTR has the wider 'tunnel' (gearbox?) section.. It's an eye sore TBH so make sure you get the right ones..

I'd thought that would be the case.

I'll need r34 gtr mats then, I'll wait for the bloke to come back from holidays to see if he offers a template to suit gtrs/awd skylines.

Cheers hungryGTR for setting it up.

No worries mate :)

Just two things to note for everyone, please read the entire first post. Ive put all info in there and it will take no more than 5mins reading and looking at the pics to find out everything you need to know. This by no means is my job, i work 5 days a week, have a house that im renovating and working out the logistics of my business that im wanting to launch at the end of the year. So im doing 100+hours a week and then this ontop aswell as a few other things. So please make my life easier by not asking my basics questions that can be found in the original post. Im saving everyone heaps so 5 mins is nothing, but for me 5 mins from 100 people is heaps. If people want me to read for them and babysit them im happy to do so but ill increase the price so the time i use i get paid for. Its quite simple, read it all, if there are any equiries then PM me, post here or email me. Laziness will see the price go to $130 for a basic set and $150 for the premium set plus postage on top. Come on guys im doing good by you so please do good by me.

Secondly i have had a heap of interested but only 3 people have place and order and paid. If you have the money at present and are interested then please dont wait, your involvement now will help bump up the number of orders and thus i can push for delivery at the end of each month rather than after 3 months and a bit

Cheers

    • Some of them keep working fine. 9 out of 10 of them end up causing an absolute misery bleeding the system and get thrown on the workshop floor in a tantrum and never thought about again because they were never really needed and just added crap to the car that we could have done without. Same-same with HICAS, A-LSD, and various other stupidities that over eager 10x engineers thought we had to have.
    • Not required but appreciated. Super Coppermix Twin even the non-competition model feels like the pedal is noticeably heavier than stock which was pretty well judged IMO. I'll be swapping in the Nismo operating cylinder soon to see how that feels.  Personally I haven't felt anything that justifies replacing the damping loop, at least compared to more modern stuff where the clutch delay valve is actually quite noticeable.
    • He made that comment in my thread - In my case the vents ARE to lower engine heat, when the car is not moving, which is the only scenario I have heat problems with the aircon on, sitting in traffic, on 40C+ days. I can't imagine a scenario that this NC needs any at this point in time. I do not know if it will actually make my cooling when the car is MOVING worse, and I sincerely hope that won't be the case. If it does, well, um, f**k.
    • Nice, thanks. Thats why I was asking, there'd been a fair bit of discussion in the E90 world about vents and where it makes sense to put one (ie, over the filters is not great as that is inline or slightly behind the struts and in higher pressure area). I struggle with air flow and pressures. It sill weirds me out that a radiator in the boot can work.
    • Neither really Vents, when located in the right place, will lower the engine bay "pressure", as air has a path to escape, thus lowering the engine bay pressure, thus.....improving the efficiency on the coolant stack (read: IC, condenser, radiator) This is why the Blits vented bonnet on my 33 worked so well, the vent was in the front 1/3 of the bonnet, which put it right after the radiator  If the vents are to far back toward the windscreen, which is a high pressure zone, it can actually force air into the engine bay, causing higher pressure and effectively loosing efficiency on the cooling stack, like the fab of raising the rear of the bonnet, which does allow heat to escape, but only when the car isn't moving  There's heaps of cool "fluid dynamics" info out there, but, I'll attach a video of a 'Merican joint that focuses on "Miatas" as I found it when looking into vents for mine, they explain it way better than me
