Hey guys ive been up all night visiting my folks at the hospital and also the last few days. Anyway im about to have a snooze now but later tonight ill go through whatever emails and questions there are.

Cheers

Ripped open the packaging (nicely packed by the way) and had a good inspection.

Look to be great quality, especially the rubber backing and the quite hefty stitching along the edges. Grabbed the mats out of my dad's 335i coupe and compared, very impressed. Maybe a touch less dense carpet than the bimmer's, but i reckon the backing and the stitching is better.

Car is being washed in a few hours, so will vacuum and put them in then.

First impressions... very impressive, especially given the price. Now just to find someone to embroid 'nismo' on them :P

Thank you very much Dave for organising this and managing to keep everything on a good schedule dispute the obviously huge personal issues.

Hey mate cheers for the kind words. Yeah they are awesome as the company makes the mats for dealerships so they have to be a perfect fit with no compromise on the quality and i must say their quality is second to none. Coupled with me having done 4 group buys with around 140 sets of mats they will always offer me the best price to pass onto you guys and at $130 for the high spec version including postage im also shocked at what they deliver for the price. No wonder 300zx.com.au can get away selling them for $395

Once youve cleaned the interior post up some pics, would be great to see how they look inside different cars.

Oh yeah and couldnt tell if you were been sarcastic about them been packaged well just if you can let me know if you were happy or not that would be great. Damn internet and trying to detect sarcasm haha

Got mine today, only received 4 tho?? the small middle one that goes over the tunnel is missing,

very nice mats tho, also with the front passenger mat is the mat ment to go around the raised gear box bit? IL get a photo up if i can.

Yeah ill be getting onto the tunnel mats shortly. Also dont know what your talking about so get a pic up and ill see if i can help you.

I've asked the same question, apparently Matcraft only have 4 piece sets for the R33.

Yeah ill get to that at the very bottom of this post.

the middle mat on the 34 is going to need some time to get use to the shape... i'm thinking maybe a hairdryer to help the backing get use to sitting flush against the tunnel

Yeah not sure what you mean, if your talking about fitting it in between the bottom of the rear seats and the bottom of the centre arm rest i too thought they wouldnt fit on my Soarer. What you have to do is put the back of the tunnel mat against the bottom of the rear seats and then slightly curl the tunnel mat and then but it in at the bottom of the central arm rest thing. Have a play around with it as i too thought mine would never go in and were not the correct shape but yeah they pop in nicely for a snug fit so you cant see any of the floor carpet and the tunnel mat doesnt slide around. Let me know if that helps or if your talking about something else all together.

Do I pay now or whats the go? When will this group buy be done?

Hey mat ill be making a new thread/groupbuy in the next day or two and then ill be able to take your order.

Got mine today, will post up some pics to show everyone how they fit to a 34 GTR. I must say the quality is even better then what the pictures show, if you're considering them for the next group buy, you can do so with confidence.

Yeah thats what i do these groupbuys as normally i just do a groupbuy once to get what i need and help out a few others and be done with it. But yeah as they know me, i know the details and how good they are this is the only groupbuy that ill keep doing multiple times for aslong as i can. Awesome price and there isnt anything like this on the market so im happy to help out others than normally wouldnt have the possibility of getting them.

Pics from R34 GTR, GT-T matts do fit well as you can see (note the flash makes the carpet colour and logo look much lighter):

Yeah i dont know they dont photograph too well but look 1000 times better in real life.

Thanks for throwing those pics up. Looking at the shape it fits quite well around the transfer case hump.

Would be interesting to see how they fit in a gt-t, and how the '32 mats fit in comparison.

It almost looks like the pattern you have there is originally from a gtr it is that nice..

Well the ones that ELZ got are meant for a GT-T and not a GTR. So as they are taken off a template from stock GT-T mats they would be a perfect fit, but by the looks of things ELZ's gamble paid off as they look like a mint fit for the GTR.

It does look almost entirely factory, had i not been told these were for a GT-T i would have never known!!

Yeah i must say they look sick, first ive seen with the GTR logo and look like a flawless fit even though there meant for a GT-T. Always nice when a gamble pays off, and pays off this well

I PM'd ya hungrygtr. Could you have a look and get back to me that would be great

Yeah mate i PM'd you yesterday if you havent already checked or havent logged in yet to check.

Ok so a few more things, firstly can people that ordered mats please post up photos if possible f the future benefit of members to make up their mind if they are interested or colour choice etc

Secondly does anyone know if the r32 and r33 factory mats came with a tunnel mat?

Lastly if anyone has received floor mats that they werent supposes to and didnt pay for could you please let me know. From what i can gather there is 1 person that sent me details however never made payment and i ended up forking the post out of my own pocket to make everyones order sent out on time. It might not be someone on this forum but yeah if you received something you werent meant to can you please let me know as it will save me heaps of time backtracking through records.

Cheers

Hey Dave,

The R32 and R33 did come with a tunnel mat from factory, as mine still have the original mats.

I missed the boat on this Group Buy, will you be arranging another?

Cheers, Ryno

Hello Dave,

Received the mats for my R34 GTR - including the rear mats and centre for the rear - they look great - very happy thanks. :D

Appreciate all your help.

These are much better than the generic mats you buy from Super Cheap etc.

Thanks again.

regards

Andrew

Got mine a few days ago. No centre mat though. Not that is a big issue. Mat's are great good fit look awesome. Will post pics when i clean them ( stupid rain )

Yeah mate i will be fixing up the 7 people affected in the last group buy with not getting a tunnel mat for their r32 or r33. Im getting the factory to make a template of a tunnel mate generously lended by a follow SAU member. Although ive only had 2 people ask for where their tunnel mat is at ill be getting one to everyone person that got a set of r32 or r33 mats last groupbuy. Only thing is ill need to get $5 to cover postage and ill send it out with the order of the second group buy.

Again its not my fault that the factory didnt have a tunnel mat however as i didnt know myself i feel obliged to get it for everyone to forefil what i had promised.

Cheers

Look and fit like a factory mat, no comparison to the generic crap.

    • Those 2 solenoids in that assembly I mention, are the PWM solenoids for torque converter lock-up clutch & EPC (line pressure control) ~ when most folks hear of 'solenoid failure', the tendency is to think electrical failure...but fact of the matter is, especially wrt the EPC solenoid (which is moving/running all the time), you can have an electrically 'good' solenoid, that's absolutely broken/worn out mechanically inside...ie; valve plunger return spring rubbing against spring retainer plate, lowering preload pressure.. ...and the solenoid armature extension limit spring wafer with bad wear/broken off petals... ...and if there's ever been any metal flying about, damage to the valve plunger end itself... ...the stuff one never really sees, unless you go the whole 10yards trying to answer the question "why is my line pressure screwy, but TCU isn't flagging any EPC solenoid fault?"...and carefully dissect the solenoid. Worst (and most probable) scenario is when the plate spring petals break off, they get held by the magnetic flux, get mashed up by the armature into little bits, which end up in the space between the armature & shading core bore, and things get stuck or randomly jam up, and your line pressure goes flat and doesn't change...and the TCU never sees it, as it doesn't actively monitor LP... ..then it gets into insidious land, if you end up with lower than expected line pressure...lets say high clutch..and the lower pressure causes it to slip ~ when I say 'slip', think say 2000rpm on the drive plates, and 1800rpm on the driven plates, because the slip is making them under-rotate by 200rpm ; you get all the usual nasties like heat and band/clutch wear, but even if it's only 20rpm slip the same thing happens...and... you'll hardly ever pick this up driving the thing with the torque converter active as it effectively masks these sorts of slippages that are line pressure related ...(the newer TCUs can detect clutch slip rate)...just  FYI as it were...

    • Hey guys, so Golebys has good prices on Bosch injectors, and also sell an adaptor to go from 1/2 length injector to standard with the Nissan 10.5mm top seal.  Does anyone know if that adaptor is to suit the 14mm or 11mm injector tops?  And re. The bottom seal, to suit my standard RB20 intake, would I be right in saying I can just slip the 14mm square section O ring over the bottom of the new injector and done? Thanks in advance guy, Cheers, Rowdy
    • F my life. I was changing the oil on my R32 GTR today as usual and ran into a bit of a snag. I drained the oil out and was getting ready to finish the job by tightening the drain plug, however The stupid magnetic oil drain plug snapped in half, right at the magnet part. After about an hour of trying to remove it, I used a drill bit, which unfortunately pushed the magnet all the way into the pan, and just leaving the hollow threaded part of the bolt remaining. I was able to remove the hollow portion of the bolt from the oil pan with some pliers but the magnet is still in there.  So, the question is, should I drop the oil pan to get the magnet piece out, or is it okay to leave it in there? I really dont want to drop the pan, i'm about to go nuts.  PSA: Do NOT buy a BLOX magnetic drain plug. This is the one i had.    https://bloxracing.com/products/magnetic-oil-drain-plug-m12x1-25mm?variant=37131252859052&country=US&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw47i_BhBTEiwAaJfPpgti1D2JwO7TDuMpXuqeQPCuIQSAfwxpWQH5rF9MD7sm5SCZDWLR_RoC_YoQAvD_BwE
