I'm moving up to the Gold Coast in two weeks with my wife and 7 month old. I've been around these forums and nissansilvia.com for a little while now but haven't seen much action in the last two years because the three two has been off the track while I worked on a engine for it. Good news is I've got it all back together and running so now I just need to find a way to get it registered in QLD.

So if anyone has a min or two to list off some import friendly shops where I could borrow/loan/buy parts to help get my car a little more discrete looking I'd appreciate it. The main thing I'll need is stock seats and a quieter exhaust system because I don't think my Cobra seats and bride rails are ADR approved and my home job 3.5inch system doesn't have a cat.

I know I have to get my top mount T04z turbo ticked off by an engineer but I don't know what the engineer will want to see and apart from that I'm not 100% sure on anything else I need to do to get QLD rego.

I need to change the engine number as well due to the upgrade. I'm also worried about my bigger brake rotors, suspension parts and aftermarket ecu/injectors/etc. Actually I'm worried about almost everything on the car.

I'd like to drive my car around on the SA rego until I get everything sorted and my brother (SA police officer) has said I can for 3 months max but he could be wrong...?

Any good help is greatly appreciated

I got my exhaust sustem done at "Gold Coast Custom Exhaust", they are very good and do not way over charge like alot of places for anything you want done.

I get alot of stuff from the Nizz pro wrecker in ashmore, they have stock seats and stuff all the time otherwise if you watch the for sale forum in on SAU they come up all the time.

Body work and stuff I usually get done at either "Gold Coast Customs" in ashmore, Or "Smick panel and paint" in southport as they have given me the best quotes and they have done the interior for my car. I was going to get my bonnet and roof resprayed at some place in ashmore (Dont wanna name names) one place said im looking at $1400!!! So you can imagine what i said! but I got the roof and bonnet done at gold coast customs for $300 for bonnet and $400 for roof.

And all performance modifications I just buy off jusjap or ebay or bodykits off carmate :P then maybe get them fitted somewhere on the coast if you cant do it yourself mate :)

And yeah when you move interstate you get 3 months before you have to do an interstate transfer of registration at your locan queensland transport.

Cheers mate,

Ben.

Oh and also if you need to get a roadworthy or something ticked off with regards to your turbos and stuff maybe go to the caltex in coombabah, they did my skyline and he is very good.

Cheers

Hi premo, i run a small shop, well from home at the moment till i move into my new shop. if you need bits and pieces done let me know.

i have very good rates, and do work for a few others on here, you will find most people up here are are very helpfull towards other skyline/import owners.

All i needed was a roadworthy when i purchased my car from vic. Had highmount gt30r running 25psi - atmo bov. 3" with no muffler - had a cat tho. thing was loud!

Try some workshops round your area or the mobile guys. They just want there cash and to get to the next job.
