I heard from a few different guys planning to do with Hi flowed VG30. They sounded it'z not a hard job, but good value for money.

But still learning for the detail myself... not much can help.

Sorry for hijacking.. but wondering is R34 turbo same as R33?! (sorry, new guy to skyline)

To the OP - At the end of the day it comes down to wheel choice, combo, how much porting and so on.

The question is so open ended no-one can answer unless you at least post the FULL specs of the turbos.

As for ‘how long will it last’ - That’s like asking how long is a piece of string, no answer to that

The .63 rear ended VG30's turbo can be high flowed to produce upto 300rwkws with supporting mods. RB25 R33 turbo's only capable of 230rwkws.

R33 RB25 turbos can make 250-260rwkw in a hi-flow form no problems. Have done so many many times before.

RB25 Dyno Sticky thread gives many examples, so 30rwkw more capable without a problem.

Are the turbo components interchanable between VG30, RB20 and 25. i.e. can you put the VG30 compressor wheel and housing onto RB20 core and with RB20 exhaust bits(or vice-versa) and bolt that to an R33 to get a heap of boost with minimal lag? I read Sydney kid put a RB20 exhaust parts on his Steaga to get the bottom end torque for towing he was after.

My GCG R33 high flow makes 242rwkw easily, tuner said it would have done 255 but i do a fair few track days so he didnt want to boost it too hard. Treated properly it should last a long time, like any good turbo should.
