I would recommend that you simply replace the standard fan.

My experience is that you will have trouble getting air to flow through the radiator after you install the thermo(s). An overheated engine is not worth the couple of kW you will free up.

Have you gone the AU thermo's Wisey?

Usually its the EL/EF thermo's that fit well over the stock 32/33 radiators. Unsure if the 34's have a different sized rad or not.

INVRTD they are usually around $200 for a new aftermarket or under $100 for s/h from the wreckers.

Anything else.. I wouldn't go as I've tried and failed, 2 x 12" and 1 x 16" were fine in normal weather but as soon as temps pushed over 30degree's and the car hit a 'little' traffic temps headed north both with and without the a/c on.

Under 30degree's she was fine in traffic.

I did notice an improvement in economy ~30km/s per tank and throttle response did feel a little crisper compared to the stock fan.

I've got the a set of AU's sitting here waiting to go on. They are pretty much the same as the EF/EL thermo's just that the fans on the AU are offset.

Have you got any tips when installing them? I'm just trying to figure out the wiring. Been looking at some good threads. This one for example http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=297022

They use a new temp sensor which has 2 switches to switch b/w high/low mode which these fans utilise. Do you know if this part will fit? I don't know our stock thread size...

Make: Tridon

Part number: 2FS 214

Low temperature switching points: On 80 off 75 deg. C

High temperature switching points: On 87 off 82 deg. C

Thread: M22 x 1.5

Try to find your self some VG30 fan`s i picked set up for $80 & they sure keep V6 3.5 cool so why not your`s i shall be fitting some to mine Stagea S2,& as there a stannard fitment you should be COOL,cheer`s chuckie.
