Audible Parking Sensors

Might sound like a silly question but is there any option to mute the audible alerts of the parking sensors? Not a camera system, just the parking sensors on a Premium 2003 300GT. I've searched several forums, including this one (SAU), G35Driver & InfinitiHelp. Also perused the G35 Owners Manual but could not locate anything useful

I've a had a couple of "wonderful" drivers almost kissing the rear end of my car in traffic which sets off the alerts! Suppose I could throw my Auto Trans into N or P to kill the alerts but it would be nice to know if there was a manual override option for this... maybe buried deep in the multifunction display unit... just can't read Japanese

if you disarm the audible sensors, then when you go to park wont they render the sensors useless?

Hey BLISTC, I don't want to disarm/disable the audible function altogether. I just want to mute the sound temporarily... for situations like I mentioned earlier.

Thought there might be a simple function to switch the sensors off/on or maybe even a volume control for it. I don't want to pull wires or anything drastic like that.

if they are the dealer fitted ones then find where they tapped them in and stick a switch on it.

or put a relay on the +12v, hooked to the reverse lamp so they are only on when youre in reverse..........

Alright, so it sounds like there aint no existing option. I'm no auto-electrician... looks like something else I have to add to my ever growing wishlist of mods. Thanx for your replies. Appreciate it.
