For 2009 the organisers have gone back to the a start outside Webcke's pub at Leyburn, with a course of approx 1km +, that will siut the more nimble higher HP type cars, with very good handling, and even better brakes.

Entries close on 17th July, they still have places, but would prefer some older classic type cars, but will consider the more moderns from the 1990's on ( Class would be "Invited Touring Cars)

visit their site, it is:

www leyburnmotorsprints.com.au

to down load entry supp regs and details on course layout.

Yep its a pure street sprint, def not suited for the circuit warriors, or maybe?

yeah I've been out there a few times to speccy (stayed at a mates uncle's joint), and like how they've moved the start line back to the pub. That was always the best bit. Dunno if spectating might be more fun than competing?

with the change of track sort of back to how it used to be, and by not letting the compeptitors return to pits via the main roadm should allow more runs.

go to their website there is a map showing the layout, maybe someone here can upload it and post it here??

Part of the track was resurfaced last year and part was old road where you did cut the corner and go "rallycross" style, it worked well, just had to be quick with the opposite lock style steering, but heck, it was fun

they are still accepting entries?? Give 'em a call, there should be a class for most everything!
