I want to remove the factory boost control solenoid which is still lingering in my engine bay after I put in the new boost controller, I used to have it in there sitting unplugged to hoses, but connected too the loom, does it need to be in there still?

Ive got a new Turbosmart Street EBC. Story goes the unit shat itself and was replaced. However the standard system seemed to still work as the tech switched off the EBC, whilst waiting for the new unit to arrive, and it was running as it did on the stock setup (ie 5psi - 4500rpm then 7psi after etc).

So im assuming the stock setup remains regardless of EBC?

You will find most likely when he turned of the EBC you where just running wastegate pressure wich is 7psi on a 33 and 34 anyway.

Unless he re-hooked the old unit back up.
