Strange Little Miss Or Cutout

No this isnt another normal missfire thread.

My stagea sometimes when on light throttle or cruising will miss or cut out breifly, just for the tiniest amount of time, it will only do it once then go back completely normal, dosnt chug or splutter just a complete loss. It never does it under full throttle or boost, only light throttle and cruise.

I have checked my AFM's, cleaned them and all the plugs etc, checked for dry joints lose wire's.

I have removed my coil packs and cleaned them and all surfaces around them

I have checked plugs.

I cannot check for fault codes as im running a PFC and i dont have a hand controller.

Its not causing me any grief yet i wud just like to know what it is so i can try and fix it.

It seems electricall to me, maybe inginitor?

generally if it is only light load it won't be anything to do with ignition (however there are exceptions) as they normally more happen under load when there is mroe stress on the system.

i would be looking at things like IAC or AAC. if these get a little bit sticky they can be slow in opening and every now and then stick a little bit and cause a bit of a miss/flat spot. could also be your o2 sensor playing up and make the car go from running lean to rich and back to lean again which will make it feel as though it has lost power for a second.

The AAC valve is blanked off as it was causing it to idle around 1600rpm, i cleaned it all out twice made no diff so decided to block it off, was doing the miss before i did it.

I did check the O2 sensors when i borrowed a mates data logit, both were working at the time. I might ty and borrow it again and get some miles in with it.

Its not so much a feeling of loss of power, more like somebody switched the engine off for a split seond.

you running a PFC then more than likley your problem in the R32/33 GTR power fc, do a search but I have found no solution to many peoples problem.

+1 for it being the PFC miss bug. Ignore it. Its normal.

It only affects the latest software version of the GTR PFC. I forget what version that is now.

same problem with mine - RB26 power FC.

i've found it mainly happens on light throttle or in top gear just crusing. split second cut out.

power FC bug. no doubt about it. you have described it exactly. some people have had success with adding grounding wires in particular add additional/better grounding point to the ignitor. search power FC missfire and I'm sure you'll find it. and yes it happens even with 8.04a version PFC.

Open up your AFM, ensure the little prongs are attaches to the wires and welded on securely.

My AFM was was like that and my car would jerk sometimes, and even turn off by itself.
