mine still work and my car was strictly complied :bunny: drive up against a wall about 2m away, put your lights on, roll the switch right to the top, give it a few seconds, then roll it to the bottom, youl see the beams move if they are still hooked up. the light heigh motors are NOT illegal, only when used in HID cars

just go buy yourself an HID kit. thats what i did, never looked back.

actually i did just try it and it worked. haha would've saved a lot of hassle the other night... ah well. :( it still needed adjusting anyway since it was already on the lowest height setting and was still pointing too high...

Also I read recently about the headlight adjustment on the dash - does this work? I always thought the motor for this was disconnected in compliance...I'd be thrilled if it worked. That'd be one awesome feature to have.

Haven't seen an example of the motor being disconnected.

The HID's have to be disconnected during compliance because they are not "self leveling". All HID equipped cars sold in Australia have self leveling lights... Not that you would know though.

and headlight cleaners....

Both are required for the Euro regs, and therefore ADR... Actually height adjustable headlamps, either manual or auto, are manditory for euro regs. Only exception is for cars with self leveling suspension like the Citroens.

Hi everybody,

I am having an issue with my M35 where my righthand headlight (low beam only) is not working. I have just changed the bulb only to have no success. On further probing, it seems that there is no voltage to the plug at all. I have checked all the fuses I can find (both next to the battery in the engine bay and in drivers side footwell and cannot find any duds. Trying to trace the wires through the engine bay I can across no fuses and eventually the loom disappeared into the passenger side of the firewall. I have also tried the ECU fault codes check on the CEL just in case, which reported no faults.

Has anybody else come across this problem or know of any other fuse box that I am missing?

Any assistance would be really appreciated thanks

Brendan

hi

did you have any success with your light, my M35 has exactly the same fault, i havent looked into fixing it yet

Try replacing the fuses with known working fuses just to confirm they are not duds (if you haven't tried this already). I had this issue on my s2. Couldn't see that the fuse was faulty but I replaced it and that fixed the problem.
