Halo 3 was good for awhile... but got over that and couldnt stand playing it now. Forza 2 was pure awesome. Gears Of War was fairly average and boring IMO.

^No. of users. PSN is PS3, PSP, FORUM, all that etc, whereas Xbox has more just on ONE console.

Red ring happens for a number of different reasons, the full ring, most common is when it over heats. Turn your Xbox off after your done and don't keep it in direct sunlight or near a heater...

Everyone I know that have got it fixed under warranty have not have a problem again, so either your talking rubbish which I assume (why would you buy another xbox and not get it fixed???? - if you've had such a bad experience why continue to buy them?).

I did get it sent away and "fixed" and it hasnt played up, yet, since i got it back a month ago but since my brother works for eb games i just ended up with a new one as well. Not that hard to end up with free gear if you know the right people.

I like the games on the 360 its as simple as that and since i dont have to pay for another console im not that fussed if they continue to break. Ill just get another one for nothing. It really doesnt worry me but it does piss me off that microsoft could make a console that needs to be repaired for such a simple thing that should have been sorted before they were released but hey thats how most stuff is these days...isnt built to last.

problem with 360 is that if you keep the console in the cabinet it has a high chance to over heat therefore RROD. 360 also has no HD audio capabilities if you care... No Bluray drive....

PS3 problem is too expensive..

games looking better - yeh due to where the game is ported from really.... i wouldnt say alot better - slightly at best....

general gaming - PS3 exclusives list looks alot brighter than 360 this year..... example 360 has nothing to compete with KZ2..... Gears 2 yeh its good but not KZ2 MP all i can say is wow

Having owned a 360 and now owning a ps3 i thought id talk about my experiences.

Ive had both break down on me once each. The ps3 was possibly due to my old work though working in a highly dusty environment and bringing that back with me but im not sure.

The ps3 was returned to me much faster and customer support was overall much better to deal with than the xbox360 although i dont think one example can be taken as gospel as i may just have had a good person on the other end of the line on that occasion.

Price wise i think they are fairly similar.

xbox 360 i hear is $350 now + wireless $130? + xbox live $100 = $580

ps3 is about $699 and they throw in 2 games + you get a bluray player which there is no denying your gonna be buying in the next few years anyway and there several hundred dollars alone.

As for games i think 360 has it hands down at the moment. pretty much all of the big sony exclusives have been average. im really hoping gt5 and gow3 are something special. 360 with the likes of halo 3, forza, and the gears of war series is better in my opinion. I also love how you can play music while playing your games which you cannot on ps3... why the f%# not sony?!?!

Having said all of this i still put my vote to the ps3 as its a better console, its undeniably more powerful and there for has more potential. and it looks like microsoft are going to be banking on the natal in the future and that doesnt interest me in the slightest. I feel the ps3 has more to offer with its built in wirless and bluray drive, it also has an easily upgradable hardrive and the ability to load other operating systems onto it.

If sony just bring down the price of the ps3 im sure people will start to see the same things. at the moment all people see is $700 for ps3 or $350 for xbox which is hardly the case.

I have both consoles atm and i must say that they are both good; online play is about the same but you have to pay for xbox live (which i just did a month ago)

I bought a hdmi cable on a lcd tv to compare graphics and they are a little different but not noticible unless you have them side by side, either way i wouldnt give up one console for the other only buy games based on content and exclusivity ie left for dead which is the baddest and GTA IV which is better on the xbox 360 due to the upgrades.

BTW i was one who didnt think too much about blueray but once i saw it on a hdmi lcd tv 'wanted' was the movie you can actually see if the actor had a pimple a few days before the shoot.....its fantastic!

well HDTV isn't *that* compelling, and the Blu Ray movies they have looping on a Sony TV at Video Ezy just don't do it for me in terms of an increase in picture quality. It's like going from a component output on your xbox to a HDMI one.

i use my ps3 for all movies but i cant say blu-ray impresses me that much anymore. Its only really noticeable with cgi graphics in films or animated charaters with fur and stuff.
