hey guys, i got a sound system few weeks ago, and they have put a comp VT instead of a comp VR in my car... so i was wondering if any1 can help me out with which is better out of the kicker comp VT and comp VR. apart from the VT being a shallow sub is there much difference? and is it bad having a shallow sub in a normal size box? i have a r34 gtt. also from what i cna find on the net there worth the same... can any1 shed some light... thanx

The shallow sub has slightly less power handling capabilities and will not be quite as loud. The 2-3dB or so difference should not really be noticeable. the shallow one also has a more limited response so some bass could be a lil distorted but again very negligible. The shallow sub allows you to have a smaller box. Unless you know what your looking for you should not really be able to audibly tell much difference.

thanx for the responses joe and deano, sounds like it may not b worth changing at all. only reason is i recon the other one looks better. some1 bumped into my car back right around the petrol cap and a bit on the bumper n didnt leave a note or nothin... so now i got bigger problems lol
