Can I ask what are the options for accommodation?

Are we fending for ourselves? Our doing the groupie thing again?

I was thinking of:

Option A - driving up Friday night ... get a room ... go to show ... back to room for drinks ... drive back sunday

Option B - driving up Friday night ... get a room ... go to show ... drive back to Adelaide

Option C - driving up Sat early morning ... go to show ... stay the night ... drive back sunday

Thoughts?

Cara I've already wiped 2 pages of shit off this thread (was 4 pages 2 days ago and I reduced it back to 2), now it's back up there again!

But meh, I've got nothing better to do.

For the first time in a long time ... I've got a free weekend this weekend (end of semester) so ought to finish off the TLR rebuild/rewiring. I'll fire her to life tomorrow for the first time in 6 months. Let me know if you guys can hear my bike from your neighbourhood.

Yeah, might definitely take the TLR to the show. I don't think you guys have been introduced to the "Rizla TLR"

I have managed to get the 23rd, 24th, and 25th off of work. So i will definitely be heading there, i will most likely head up sometime Friday and stay the night, go to the show, and maybe stay the Saturday night as well if we have a "Fun night out", then head home Sunday.

i reckon the best option is to head up the day before, have a big nite, and the show the next day.. like kadina. at other car shows ive tried going up there in the morning, staying the nite and coming home the next day.. but after the show ur so stuffed u just wana get home.

Yes that is the best idea Steve thats what i will be doing.

Ok folks i would like to welcome all of you that are looking at coming to the Riverland Auto expo.

To be held on the 24th and 25th october 2009 in Loxton

Some info on the weekend.

Friday the 23rd of october

Well to start the weekend we try to organise a bench session at one of the local pubs or clubs for pre entries usually around the 7 oclock mark. this helps us get to know people and helps us make the next morning run smoother.

Saturday the 24th october

to start this day we open the gates to entrants at 7 am for setup of vehicles and displays. we try to have all

cars in and parked before 9.30 for insurance reasons.

Gates open to public at 10 am.

usually the day ends around. 4 oclock. this gives us time to pack up and get ready for the cabaret dinner.

The cabaret dinner and trophey presentation starts at 7pm to be held at the loxton Sporting Club.

we usuall stick around most of the evening drinkin and getting to know alot of people that attend the event.

Sunday the 25th october

We organise a cruise around the riverland ending for a bbq lunch so people that have to travel get home at a reasonable time.

Any questions please dont hesitate to ask

Cara has entry forms otherwise let me know and ill email them to you

a flyer shall be posted soon.

thanks Stuart

Hey Stuart, welcome and thanks for the info.

Sounds like 2 nights stay may be the go in that case, however, if choosing 1 night only, maybe Sat night at the minimum to take advantage of the Sat night dinner & presentation, Sun cruise, and Sun BBQ lunch.

Stuart, for those that won't be there Frid night, how would that affect the pre entry submissions.......I'm assuming as long as they are there early Sat morning that it'd still be OK, yeah?

Basically what happens on the saturday morning is we will meeting all the entrys. giving them there numbers and other show day material.

the pointing in the direction of you club and display area.

as quoted before aslong as we can have people in the grounds and parked by 9.30

would be muchly appreciated. if there are going to be any late arrivals just let on of us know on the day and

we will get you too where u will be.

Judging will commence between 9.30 and 10 am as we are expecting quite a few cars this year.

should be a great day.

more precise details shall be out shortly.

any entrys recieved early, will also recieve a second advice sheet explaining what is happening in more detail.

as for accomodation.

http://www.takeabreak.com.au/Loxton/RiverlandSA/accomodation.htm

also the Loxton caravan park.

Berri is 15 mins away if accomodation is needed there.

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
    • That's not very Toyota of the Toyota!
    • Bringing an old thread back to life Looking to put some new front shocks in the r33Gtst and the KYB still look ok for a road car. Unless there are any other options aroind that price $200 a shock?  I’d like to replace the strut tops also, is this the correct KYB no. For the strut top, KSM7124?  https://www.sparesbox.com.au/products/kyb-strut-top-mount-ksm7124?srsltid=AfmBOoq-HDru8wSlLnQrhU9gCw_uYdKg8gUQzONY-EQOdnI5iXOWEUjY 341287 appears to be the front KYB shocks part no.  thanks all
    • LandCruiser used to get a fluid flush every 12 to 18 months.   Only because it was about that often the electric motor on the master for brake assist kept dieing and needing to come off.
