Rev Limiter

i have a 93 r33 got it a few months ago ...my rev limiter kicks in only at 8500 does it mean the ecu is tuned to sumthing else?

I would stay off it if you want the oil pump to last. Does it have a stock motor/turbo, if so there is no point revving it anywhere near that.

it could possibly be that you have a remapped ecu, or your tacho reads out by a fair bit.

pull your ecu out and have a look at it. if it has a tuning company sticker on it then that will be a good indication it has been. otherwise open it up and post a pic of it and we will be able to tell you if it has been chipped or not.
