Kujotk
Sounds like the car is scraping somewhere when i turn sharply to the right, i mean super sharp on the verge of loosing the back.... Only got 17's on my R33 Gtst series 2, cannot see any visible scrape marks under the front wheel arch or the gtr front bar.... Only happens when i turn right sharply, usually i wouldnt bother about it but im enetering a texi event in August and wandering if anyone else has had this prob.... Suspension is standard, wheels are 17's gtr copies, suspension seems fine..... PsYLoR
If you got a GTST with GTR 'Copy' rims (assuming there GTR offset) The offset could well be your problem? Turn the wheel hard to the right and then inspect all the plastic inner guards on both sides for obvious wear. Look real close at where the wheel is sitting and if there is any slight marks on the plastics nearby. Check if any of the plastic clips that hold the inner guards in place are missing, etc. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/275965-car-scrapes-when-i-turn-right-heavily/#findComment-4673604 Share on other sites
(B1) MR_fanny
could be scraping your castor rods..then again it should be scraping if you turn left full lock also. you sure passenger front tyre isn't scraping plastic wheel arch lining? mine does because of the slightly bigger SMIC i put on. TRB-001
double check ur brake disc backing plates arent too close to your disc rotors.... (thin metal dust plate that sits behind the rotor to stop dirt n grap getting in the brakes).... make sure there is a good gap between the plate and ur rotor coz if there isnt under extreme sideways loads they may flex and touch. shaunvlc
mine does it. it is actually a plastic scraping sound. not rubber on metal. very obvious when you hear it. I assume it is the inner arch lining. Just take the wheel off and inspect the guard. It may have come loose. I got to do mine too.
