Hey guys,

I've recently purchased an NA Supra. I'm looking to bolt a Varex exhaust onto it as I was really impressed with it on my 33.

Now the optimum exhaust size for the 3L Supra engine is 2.75", but Varex only comes in 2.5" and 3" inlets.

My question is, can I run 2.75" custom piping right to the cannon, then weld a 3" cannon onto it? Will this maintain decent back pressure, or will the change in size and pressure disrupt the airflow and potentially make things worse?

Thanks.

The 2.75" piping can definitely be welded into a 3" cannon, I ran 2" piping into a 3" cannon and that worked fine. As far as back pressure goes i highly doubt a quarter of an inch will make any noticeable difference.

u mean from the mainifold?

yea i dont think quarter of an inch wont hurt, in sayin that, for my n/a 33, 2.5inch is the right size, whilst 3 inch would have been to big and over kill, so im not real sure, if u feel it lacks or wat eva wen u put it on, just swap it down.
