Itb Kits? Anyone Looked Into Them?

For me, this is a unique thing id like to do, and keep my car N/A

Any sydney people know where this could be done / installed locally?

itbs...? anyone care to explain how it works?...so 'individual throttle bodies?'...i have heard engines with them on, esp popular with Type-R and Ae86....so its basically a breathing mod?

yes i rmb reading abt it but didnt quite understand what it was all about (partly coz i didnt know wat ITB stood for ) someone in the states check it out

not worth the cost to power gain ratio

give you an idea, check out the Top Secret ITB's. They are a work of art.... also come with a clear plastic carbon fobre intake cover. A setup like that will set you back around 10k. And thats even before you will need to rebuild the engine, stroke it, etc. to get the full power gain from the ITB's.

You would be better off going FI with the amount of $$$$ to invest in that sort of setup

Looks like the RB setup would have been more mod friendly.

i looked into it as it was one of the first things i was considering because i really didnt want to go FI with this engine.

End of the day, the money you will need to spend, in order to extract an extra say 100-150hp over the stock engine it is just not justifiyable.

Also in that thread, the member IVORY-GT, if you look on G35driver.com you will see that he has actually ditched that setup and now runs a turbo kit and makes some insane amount of HP. he also has the veilside widebody kit with the 22" rims.
