I'm going to buy a set of 17x9 +22 all round for my R34GTT these days, the owner told me that all 4 rims already have new 225/45 tyres on them. But I also heard that these tyres ideally suits 255, not 225......

Now I have no idea what I should do... buy it without the tyres, then buy 255? Or keep the 225 on those rims??????

Plz help me guys...

are u guards rolled? 255's will be a bit tight on the GTT guards with that offset. nothing wrong with 225's on 9" rims, little bit of stretch but nothing too bad. buy them with the 225's, fit them, and skid on them. measure how much clearance u have, then go from there as to what size tyre u go. as i mentioned, if ur wanting to drift, the 235/45's are ur best bet, they are extremely common and are cheap as chips. they also fit well on the 9", tiny bit of stretch, enough to keep ur sidewalls fairly firm and to stop a lot of flex.
