so to put it simple, most ppl here think skylines are more about the Go than the show.

Not quite.

We're into tasteful mods wether they be for show and / or go.

It's just that the car you started this thread with was one of the tackiest R33's we've seen.

The dealer would love to see the back of that car for sure

its all about taste, and horses for courses.... i dont care what you do.. aslong as you own you decision... dont get a pleather interior and then put it down because others do if its what you want and you are happy with it.

the problem with show... is its just that... show.. no purpose what so ever, except to look at.. and the fatter, grumpier, driven cars in the carpark get my attention and respect than the trailer queens with the candy paint and white leather interior, and engines that cant be started because they will change the colour of the coatings etc. flashy wheels that have to be a ridiculous offset in order to sit inside the guards so it can be stupid low, and are usually wrapped in cheap rubber as it doesnt drive anyway... and an interior that you cant use because it will get soiled and stained from normal wear and tear.

when you get in a skyline of any sort with usable street power and grip, and thrash it down a windy road... all thoughts of interiors and what it looks like from the outside and how clean and polished your engine bay is, suddenly disappear and you couldnt give a stuff what others think... the only thing you are thinking about is entry speed, braking points, grip levels, and the rush of full throttle exits...at that moment, you and the car are one, and the feeling is incredible.

that is what skylines are about and thats why i will always love them and come back to them when i stray and try something else.. greatest driver cars ever made.. and every review says so.. they are built for drivers to drive.

cheers

Linton

Yeah I much prefer the look of a street driven car, even mine which has survived multiple smashes into animals of varying sizes, with a front bar which is held together with duct tape and love, stone chips on the front, and an engine bay full of dust

PS I bought mine off a Lebo, have for the most part regretted it due to the fact it's taken me over a year to fix *most* of the annoying half done mods or crappy slaptogether jobs inflicted on it.

Try buying a stock one if you're new to Skylines or aren't a huge DIY fan, the peace of mind is worth the extra money spent on modding it yourself.

That R33 looks like another CT special (swops 4 VN SS +2k bro?!!?!), utterly gayed up by an idiot.
