At a suspension place today, following progress of an interesting R35 suspension modification they are developing an offset suspension mount and matching bushes. This is a plug and play option which yields about an extra 1* of negative camber. This easily reversible modification involves no cutting nor body modifications.

Plug and play.

Not bad.

Progress pics below...

This will be track tested shortly, i will post up impressions soon.

should be good. it's nothing new though (well it is for the 35 I guess). that is how you achieve alignment changes on most cars when retaining the factory arms - offset bushes.

True not new, offset bushes arent new.

However these are the first that fit the R35 (custom made) and probably the only ones that exist.

I ended up with about 2.7*, it now cuts through corners like a hot knife through butter, & seems to have eliminated some oversteer.

Well do tell ....I would love a set...the 1.5 on front and 1 on the rears was pointless, so 2.7 sounds like a good start.

PM if you like or just post where I can get a set.

Cheers,

Gibbo

See "Wholesale suspension" in Sydney (Penrith) - ask for Matt or Luke. Tell them Duncan sent you and you are potentially interested in the same R35 upper arm offset bush setup. Assuming you want more camber that is. These guys look after my alignments etc as well, and of course they can do all that for you too. They have good hoists and equipment etc. that deal with the peculiarities of the R35 too.

good stuff. I expected that like most cars on good rubber it would benefit a fair bit from some decent camber. you're right the factory 'track' setting was pussy and almost impossible to tell arpart from the stock setting the changes were that small. have you experimented with some toe? a little toe out on the front should liven it up a bit.

With toe, Wholesale Suspension set a very agressive setup for my last track day, however the car felt quite nervous on bumps and turns, so i have asked them to dial it back half way (which they did yesterday) and i will test out at Oran Park this week. Do you know what factory tow settings are?
