I'd love to come but I think my car may actually be ready to run by 2 Nov and I'll be heading to Heathcote with the GTR and the Supra to test out the new toys.

Can someone take notes if applicable and count me in as an official member if memberships are being taken.

Now we're presented with a odd dichotomy.  Have club meet to get the ball rolling or go to Heathcote to race and watch.

hmmmmmm. I dunno what to do, is it possible to combine the two I wonder?

Well - I'm thinking you've hit the nail on the head. We didn't have a planned venue... Heathcote is a venue. This could work out...

Anyone got any HUGE problem with Heathcote?

If its at heathcote.. i wont be able to come... cos me not driving all the way from Wilsons Prom.. alllllll the way to Heathcote.. if its central.. then yeah.. ill be there...

so let us know where you decide to have it..

:)

    • How do people sell and buy modified cars in Victoria? Because internet says you have to get a RWC every time the car is sold. In NSW the blue slip / full check is only required for cars that had their registration lapsed or are bought from interstate. The yearly pink slip / rego check just looks at tyres, lights, leaks and things like that. They tend to not care about modifications. So can buy a car that is modified as long as it was registered before modifications. And then keep driving it. With the lingering threat of getting defected and fu<ked at any time.
    • I think just better tyres, I'm just on Hankook RS-4 tyres at the moment, which aren't really meant for the track. Also, been mucking around with my suspension for sometime now and I'm really happy bow neutral it is. Car doesn't want to just oversteer or understeer like it did years ago.  Time to put on proper tyres one day and see what the shit box can do at SMSP, One Raceway and Luddenham again.

    • It's not "interpreted as" it literally is no more than 1 mod to the intake system. The turbo is considered something that affects emissions. So this has 0.0% chance of passing it's current state. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this would absolutely need thousands to get on the road. Perhaps the seller still has the stock bits, but god knows what state the OEM wiring is to run the ECU, whether an OEM cluster is still available, etc. Generally speaking, RWC testers in Victoria are more conservative than the rules actually are to boot, so even if the car will pass, they won't even want to look at it, nor consult the actual roadworthiness requirements. They will simply throw it in the too hard basket with a flavor of arrogance and move onto the next job, even if the mods you have meet the requirements of VSI14.
