Dude... this is not a Who's going to heathcote thread.

This is about membership. Dont whore it please

As far as the "watch this space" sentence in the first post goes this is still on for Sunday! Is this still the case? Id still be keen to do so but would need to know before the end of the working day as I won't see a pc again for a few days!

Sorry all - been far to busy at work this last week. Bloody marketing rush for 1st term '04 products. Stupid schools...

Yes - with crappy weather and no real notice of location, might be best to put it back until next week for an official meeting. I'm still keen on the idea of Emerald Lake. Is a nice place :(

Also, we haven't had a chance to finalise the NPO accounting details, so would just be more of the same meeting type stuff anyway.

Plus - AKT has arranged a go-cart day on this Sat, so perhaps a good chance to talk more there?

So... my homework shall be arranging a map and stuff for Emerald Lake. Sorting NPO stuff (Ash - Thursday next week?) and, uh... perhaps keeping people more up to date :)

I hope I can make it next week as racing was postponed due to bad weather and not being able to get enough testing done in time.

I may end up racing next week instead. If that's the case, please take notes and sign me up as a Vic SAU member.

I think it's time to give nahtan a call and see where he's at lol!

But yea, next week should be ok. If not the week after, i've got a day off then for other accountant visits so that could work.

either way.

Emerald lake next weekend sounds good.

    • How do people sell and buy modified cars in Victoria? Because internet says you have to get a RWC every time the car is sold. In NSW the blue slip / full check is only required for cars that had their registration lapsed or are bought from interstate. The yearly pink slip / rego check just looks at tyres, lights, leaks and things like that. They tend to not care about modifications. So can buy a car that is modified as long as it was registered before modifications. And then keep driving it. With the lingering threat of getting defected and fu<ked at any time.
    • I think just better tyres, I'm just on Hankook RS-4 tyres at the moment, which aren't really meant for the track. Also, been mucking around with my suspension for sometime now and I'm really happy bow neutral it is. Car doesn't want to just oversteer or understeer like it did years ago.  Time to put on proper tyres one day and see what the shit box can do at SMSP, One Raceway and Luddenham again.
    • How much work to get you in the 55s? Or just more seat time?
    • A client's front yard in Kawanishi, Hyogo-ken. I work part time doing bathroom and kitchen demolition for a Japanese home renovation contractor.  Sharp Aquos R8
    • It's not "interpreted as" it literally is no more than 1 mod to the intake system. The turbo is considered something that affects emissions. So this has 0.0% chance of passing it's current state. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this would absolutely need thousands to get on the road. Perhaps the seller still has the stock bits, but god knows what state the OEM wiring is to run the ECU, whether an OEM cluster is still available, etc. Generally speaking, RWC testers in Victoria are more conservative than the rules actually are to boot, so even if the car will pass, they won't even want to look at it, nor consult the actual roadworthiness requirements. They will simply throw it in the too hard basket with a flavor of arrogance and move onto the next job, even if the mods you have meet the requirements of VSI14.
