The answer isn't a simple yes / no either..

There is a difference between early and late instrument clusters, I have an early gts4 with a late gtr cluster in it now. There are a number of wiring changes on the connectors between the two.

yeah mate, thanks for clearing that up for people too. like you said, its with all model skylines, as each has atleast 2 series models... 3 with the 33gtr.

Also the early gts4 was blue. Clock in the bottom corner of the rev counter. Redline at 7k.

I do have the pinout changes hidden away somewhere if anyone ever needs them, sort of cryptic but followable.

manual clusters are different to auto's as the GTS4's came in auto.

plus isn't the GTR clock in the dash, wheras the GTS4 has the clock in the gauge?

yeah mate, auto's are different I'm pretty sure, but yeah I was refering to manuals. and yes the clock is in the cluster itself so yeah that might be a wiring issue.
