About a week ago my car was low on P/S fluid and whenever i took a corner the hicas light would flash briefly. I ended up topping it up last night and headed up to a mates house. While driving i noticed that anything under 3k rpm was ok but every after 3k rpm the hicas light would flash briefly and then dissapear and come back on once i hate 5krpm and so on. The real issue is when i was heading up the mountain to my mates and having a bit of a spirited drive, when the hicas light comes on it would slightly yank the wheel to the opposite direction i am turning.

Any ideas on what could have happened? Over filling it wouldn't cause this would it?

My guess is it ran so low on fluid that it now has air in the system, it will eventually bleed out.

Cheers

You can bleed the system by lifting the front end up, moving the steering from lock to lock till air bubbles in the res no longer appear, then start the engine and repeat while it's idling. Then simply top up the fluid. The steering systems in GTR's are variable relative to speed also.
