ok guys, most of you already know i had a bit of an incedent with a paddock on staurday, anyway the car is insured in my mothers name, as me as a driver, now, i want to know, is there a limit on how many days after it i can make the claim?

and also, can i make a claim, as a driver on the insurance.. or do i have to wait for mum to make the claim?

but she is out of the country untill the end of the month

You are best to call the company now and let them know of the claim. Whilst you will not be penalised generally for a delay of a month or so, (technically you have up to 7 years to formally lodge a claim) but you will be asked to provide a suotable reasone why you waited so long if you took full advantage of your rights.

Your Mother (as the insured) will have to formally lodge the claim and sign the claim form etc (if you company still uses paper based claim forms etc)

but it won't hurt to nitify them of the incident/accident and that when your mother returns from o/s you will have her lodge a formal claim etc..
