From what little playing around we got to do indoors the converter seems fairly tight but I would imagine it has to be reasonably tight to hold over 1000hp to 6000rpm. I'd say we'll have to get the gas in fairly earlier to get it right up on the converter quick enough for racing. I dont really want to get it in to early if you no what i mean as it makes massive torque quite early. May even have to look at doing it progessively, like 50 in at 3k the full 200 in at like 4500. We'll just have to see when we do a bit more playing in a fortnight.

let us all know how you go with the box holding input shafts, I have one in a GTR here with only 450rwkw no nos and havent even used the transbrake yet and have snapped 3 input shafts the last of which was a custom made 25mm chromoly unit. (standard is 21mm).

Looks the goods Dave, cant wait to see it run

What box are you running though and what have you done to it overall??

Yes that's right -30 bottom end.

Colour spectrum - it's out there i know but when you got it flaunt it i rekon plus the paint job was sponsored by Mandurah smash repairs and Creative works - so i simply let em go! Not for the street but hey that's not where it's going to live hey?

Thanks for the sensible comments guys , as you would all be aware it takes a lot of effort, $$$$$$$$ and know how to get one of these GTR's to this stage, after all they are really a circuit car.

Being a purist at heart I have endeavoured to keep her as close to all Nissan as possible, right down to the box. We will then be able to compare Nissan GTR with Nissan GTR if you get my drift!

Admittedly the Nissan products have all been modified and strengthened but is'nt that half the fun?

The box is basically the same as yours but forward pattern.

Balanced carrier input shaft,

over sized and honed front carrier,

Kevlar bands

billet clutch hubs

extra clutches

high flow pump

over sized pan

billet servo

hardened chrome rings

new planetries, gasket, etc

full billet valve bodies,

TCI converter

These are what I can remember, it was built by Keas, and I am under the impression that yours even though it was not built by Keas will have some of his componetry in it

Ok - let me ask you this - are you using the re4r01a box?
