as the title suggests,the drivers side window has given up the ghost! it was workig well for about 3 months (since i bought the car) but i noticed in the last 3 weeks it had started to slow up.Last night it woulndnt go up.any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

My power window on the drivers side stopped working too. If you pull appart the motor yiou will see that the springs on the brushes are too slack so the brushes are no longer running on the armature. Pull out the rotor and bend the brushes in, then re-insert the rotor and the window should go fine.

Throw a 10mm socket in a cordless drill and you can have the door in pieces in 1 minute flat. It's super fast and easy to do, the whole fiddling session took me 5mins max and my window has been working for weeks now.

It's worth the annoyance and a shite load cheaper than a new motor.

Can someone tell me about the auto up,

we've tried a few times holding the button to set the limits.. even after the tv install with battery off to try it again after connecting it (might clear the memory?)

and still no luck..
