hey guys iv got a small oil leak in my rb20det, it appears to be coming from the turbo side at the back, heres a pic;

post-38932-1246281332_thumb.jpg

the area i have circled is the highest point that oil appears to have built up, it then runs down the side, there is also some oil built up behind the engine(where the arrow points)

can anyone help me determine where this leak could possibly be and if so how i would go about fixing it?

ive got the exact same leak too on my 33. had the gasket replaced by one workshop but there was still signs of leakage. had it double checked cleaned and tightened again by another workshop but it came back. my suspicions are its the oil line that goes into the block directly under and when there's air turbulence in the bay(ie driving) it throws the oil around. I can see the nice pool of oil down below infront of your gbox, mine looks exactly the same. I have yet to properly double check my hunch with a mech so i dunno but when i had it up on the hoist for a quick road worthy the guy came to the same conclusion.

are you referring to the oil line that runs from the block to the turbo? i replaced my gasket this morning and so far so good but ill keep an eye on it over the next few weeks.

I have a similar problem. Except mine is towards the front of the engine. It doesn't seem to effect the performance of tje car at all and the oil pressure doesn't appear out of the ordinary. I'll check the rocker gasket and see. Hopefully that's all it is.
