Howdy All,

Yes i have done a search and cant find any info on these tyres.... I have found some for sale and in the quest to go faster and lower my times i am considering throwing a set of full slicks at the nugget!!!

Questions being, has anyone ever heard of these? How are they? How many laps will i get out of them? How much would you pay for a set of 4??

Google has yielded nothing....

Anyone...

anyone...

Bueller?

coming to play with the big boys in 4D are you Ando??

Anything on slicks will be classed as a 4D car.

The Falken RS is not a bad tire, ive used one set and probably wouldnt buy again but they worked well. I got 3 days from a set before I noticed a real difference and sold them off whilst there was still tread left. The green spot was short, maybe two 20min cycles. 3 if your lucky

The Kuhmos have actually not faired to well with the guys.

Greg chews them to bits and Warren Weldon was using them but has now switched to the Dunlops as he was also chewing them up really fast.

The best option of all the slicks ive used are the Michelins, in any size you wont beat them.

For a novice on slicks they also give the best feedback and predicatability.

the only real experience i've had using NEW slicks was on the porsche cup car. we mostly used micheliens and liked the way they felt and they lasted quite well. we occasionally were forced to run the dunlops (rules) and found they were more expensive and not as good. don't know of any of the big categories/competitors running falken slicks in aus so can't really help with them.

Ando, find out the exact name for the tyre (letters, numbers etc) and I can get info for you :)

I can get anything Falken!

Awesome John appreciate that! Will see if can get the seller to look into the details and post up!!

Kenoath Brad! I can't let you and Greg have all the fun!! LOL mate i have NO chance of 'playing' with u 2! I am fully aware that it will bump me into 4D thou. I am just in the market for some rubber as my RE55's are fubar'd and these popped up! So i can get these for about half the cost of new semis.... Also the chance to shave a couple more seconds off my time is quite appealing :) Dunno if full slicks will be worth any time though in reality? Is it roughly same rule of thumb? Minus a couple of seconds going from streets to semis, then same again from semi's to slicks??

If i can get the Silvia under 1:20 on OP GP and sub 50 on OP South before it closes then i will be a happy chappy.... this is also a goal for getting the slicks, call it a last dash for glory before the developers move in and take away a beautiful track :(
