looking to buy a new turbo but dont know wat to get cause there is so many out there :P

what is a good turbo for an r33 but i dont want anything over 500hp cause i still want

good midrange boost .... plz help cheers

Depends what you use the car for really.

If its purely a streeter and you are chasing a good increase in top end power with a real punchy midrange then you don't want to go too big. A lot of people are going for the GT3076R's and such sized turbos but on a car that sees mainly the street you would be a little disappointed running one well at least I know I was a little too laggy for my liking.

I have now settled for an Apexi AX53B70 Turbo Kit which I personally feel is one of the best for a streeter but they are becoming hard to find. Something like a HKS GT2835PRO Kit is an awesome compromise between lag and awesome midrange power.

Check out for a pile of results from different combinations

Like paulr33 said, look harder, it has been covered multiple times. But i would suggest either a GT3071R or GT3076R, i myself have got a GT3076R on order.

So you ended up getting the GT3076R then? Did you drive a car with one before making that choice?
