Hks Evc Iii - Boost Solenoid Is Broken - Repair Or Get A New Controller?

hey all,

just found out today that the solenoid on my boost controller is broken.

it used to read 1.1 bar just before the boost controller started up, but now it reads as 0.

the shop advised that they set the boost manually to 1.1bar for me.

not that i dont trust them, but does anyone know how they even did this? and should i -

a) keep it as it is

b) replace the solenoid? (if this is possible? cost?)

c) replace the whole unit with another boost controller

any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

what do you mean manually??

meaning manual boost controller?

maybe i can find one set of solenoid here in my hometown....

thats what im curious about!? they said they had to raise the boost to 1 bar manually? but they did it with the boost controller!? :S whatever they did it cost me $290 just to find out the things f**ked.

still dont know whether to try and get a new solenoid or just replace the whole thing. cheers for the offer though.
