What Are These Random Electric Box & Switch In My Boot?

ok i seen these 2 box's with wires plugging in them along with a on & off switch what could they before? see pic's there in the boot under the rear speakers in the middle!

I'm going to guess it might have something to do with the suspension???? My mates old R31 GTS-X had a button to firm up the suspension that was standard but was located in front of the centre console, maybe they moved it too the boot or omething like that it deffinetly is a strange one thats for sure will be interesting to see if anyone has seen anything like it before.

Have you tried tracing the wires to see where they lead too?

The fact that the box says KYB on it points to something like suspension.

It hasn't got a different rear end in it that has HICAS because i know the electric motor on later model HICAS was made by KYB.

Depending on the year it will either have an RB20 NICS or a ECCS 'redtop' motor if it's a later model one, I daresay its either HICAS or for the adjustable shocks - there should be a switch with 3 settings near the centre console and coin holder. AFAIK all of the GTS, GTS-X and Passages came with the adjustable suspension and HICAS.

Sorry don't really know much about them. So from what you have it looks like it could be a switch to tun the HICAS on and off.
