There's plenty of pistons in stock in numerous shops around the place, if you go a different brand you should be able to get a set pretty quickly

Nothing wrong with running an engine in on stock turbos.

My money is on the engine failure causing the turbo failure. The turbo did not do the damage in that first picture. That was caused by a poor state of tune.

poor state of tune? standard ecu.. lower than standard compression.. standard size turbos

yeah, poor state of tune, not poor tune.

Fuel pump failure, Injector malfunction, too much boost, incorrect engine assembly.

Where did the missing chunk go from that piston? and got any better pictures of the damage yet?
