Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a good car electrician that knows the V35 in Sydney?

My odometer started to click over very slowly and the Fuel gauge does not move past half way!

tried the tests outlined in the service manual and the entire instrument panel works fine all gauges move (except for the fuel)

i filled up the car till fuel spitted out and the fuel gauge moved from nearly empty till half way only.

The odometer clicks over very slowly as 100 mt every 400m or so.

When i checked the Fuel leave to see what type of consumption i got it just showed *.* /km

Any ideas or help is appreciated.

Cristian

I have my M35 booked in tomorrow with a Auto Electrician who does work for North Shore Prestige. He has a scan gauge that will read the M35/V35 and most other cars.

I can let you know tomorrow afternoon what sort of job he does as he is tracking down an obscure electrical problem on my car.

He is based in Cromer, Northern Beaches.

Cheers

Andy

Hi Cristian

The Auto Electrician is,

All Car Auto Electrics (Greg) 9971 0900

Unit 11/1-5 Thew Parade, Cromer.

He has all the equipment to read the M35/V35's and is very good with his work.

I spoke to Greg about his knowledge of the V35 and he said he has worked on a few but did not describe himself as an expert on the car.

He is very competent and helpful.

I guess it is a matter of is there a better, closer or more convienient option.

Cheers

Andy

Let me know if you dont get anywhere Cristian, you are welcome to use my data cable to investigate fault codes?

Tim,

Where abouts are you located? I'm new to the V35 so i guess i'll need some help with the codes...

Thanks Andy, i'll see how i go with this...

Im down in Hurstville way, so if you wanna check em out, we'd have to do it soon.

My car is still in pieces while my license is suspended until next Thursday, at which point my OBDII cable is getting fitted behind the dash and i dont plan to unplug it any time soon hahaha

So if you have no luck with the techo dude up in North, perhaps you could swing by and i can run the cable through to your car and test. You got till next Thursday. 16th.
