Wastegate Question

just a quick question how do i noe im picking the right wastegate i currently have to go is

garrett gt3540

highmount manifold

740cc injectors

i am hoping to make good power but just want to make sure i get the right gate

Depends on what boost you wanna run...

The less boost the bigger the Wastegate (You are by-passing more exhaust gas to keep the boost low, therefore needs to be bigger)...

Big-ass turbo needs big-ass wastegate. 48mm wouldn't be overstating it bud.

There's a bit of theory in the FI section but for comparisons sake, I will be running a 50mm gate with my GT3540 (.82) on a 6boost manifold. I have a 3L though so will be needing to bypass more gas sooner..

Very hard? I think it's a sealed unit.. if you want to run more boost get an R32 GTSt (RB20DET) actuator or a turbotech mbc.
