Hey Bec, Just wondering what's the latest I can cancel my booking? My car is off the road at the moment and I'm not sure if I'll have it going in time.

RB25 time hey, poor engine.

lol cable tie is still holding my throttle cable in place :) hahaha im lazy as.

quality !

and i know what you mean i still have to fix my seat belts, i haven't had seats in the car to attach them for a while :)

woop woop more s13's :)

i don't know about more :) i almost had to bring my S12 when i found engine damage, but ALOT of hard work has turned that frown around.

and i cant beleive how fidley/delicate sr20's are, omg :)

I think there's a lot more to it than SR's are or are not delicate.

Like any engine, they wear out and we all know that SR's also like to throw rocker arms (at high revs) but both of those situations can be avoided by the owner easily enough. To reduce the wear and tear a good owner is going to be paying attention to oil control, quality, etc. Every engine in the world will throw a rod, spin a bearing etc with no oil, bad oil, no oil control (baffling etc if you spend a lot of time sideways blah blah)

A well kept SR can be flogged day in day out and they will hold up very well so long as a safe rev limit is observed (unless rocker arm stoppers are fitted) and oil issus are kept at bay by regular changes, oil control (where applicable) and just general common sense (so many times I've seen guys spin out at the track/on the street and keep revving the crap out of the car with no sump baffling then they wonder why the engine starved of oil and spun a bearing) A mate of mine did this exact thing to his SR not long after getting it because he wanted to go for a slide (knew it had bad oil in it) and didn't let up, a few grand later he's a bit more cautious.

I'm not one for throwing money away so I'd like to keep my little CA intact for as long as possibly while still enjoying it so some of that comes down to me and some of that comes down to how the car was treated by its previous owners.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Everyone please take the time to read over the Event Sched. as it is different to all other Decas. If you have any questions please put them up in the thread so i dont have to answer the same question 20 times.

The biggest change is the morning sessions. Instead of being in 2 different groups, all 50 cars will be divided into 3 groups and will rotate from the pan to the mini wang to the long wang. each group will start at a different event to save time.

This may or may not be a success but im sure it will help if people understand where they are going. As we have said the reason we decided to run this deca was so that we could try a couple of new things. All this will be explained at the drivers briefing also.

lol I reckon I'll be right there with ya (sliding out and going backwards that is)

It's such a fun environment though that you have a blast no matter what direction you're going in.

as for the Evo... don't like ya chances but for all I know you could be gods gift to driving and just decimate all lol
